The people who run the Foundation

FindMyDirectDoctor Foundation has a three-person board of directors. The board is the group that oversees the Foundation and makes its big decisions. No director or officer is paid.

Two of our three directors are independent physicians. You can read about our governance on our Transparency page.

Harsha is an internal medicine physician-scientist in Topeka, Kansas. That means he is a doctor for adults who also does medical research. He founded the FindMyDirectDoctor directory in 2020 and paid for it himself. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers, listed on Google Scholar. He takes no salary.

Dr. Uppu is a physician-scientist with an extensive background in healthcare outcomes research. Healthcare outcomes research studies how medical care affects patients' health in real life. He is also a past research co-author with Harsha. He shares Harsha's belief in the Foundation's mission, which is to help uninsured and underinsured people find a doctor they can afford. As Treasurer, he keeps watch over the Foundation's books, which are the records of the money that comes in and goes out.

  • Sumiran Racherla, MD

Officer

  • Christina Delgado, EdD

    Christina Delgado, EdDSecretary

    Christina Delgado, EdDSecretary

Christina holds a doctorate in education (EdD). She also did postgraduate work in special education, focused on autism, and she worked as a teacher before. She is married to Harsha and has been the backbone of building this platform. She has run much of the work behind the scenes, keeping daily operations and coordination on track. Today she spends her time improving healthcare access and affordability for uninsured and underinsured patients through this work. As Secretary, she keeps the Foundation's records. She is an officer, not a director, so she does not vote on board decisions.
